One Day Make Up Course

Basic Beauty Course
Duration: 1 Day
Time: 10am to 4pm
Tuition cost: £250 inclusive of basic make up kit and brush set
(alternatively supply your own kit and pay £150 for the day)
Entry requirement: None
This course is suitable for someone wanting to start out in beauty therapy or Make up. Course comprises of theory & practical tuition.

- Introduction to make-up and consultation
- Health and safety and hygiene
- Preparation of the work area
- Preparation of the skin for make-up
- Skin type characteristics
- Make-up products
- Corrective and contouring techniques
- Day make-up
- Evening make-up
On completion of day course you will receive a Gemini Beauty Academy Certificate.
Candidates may progress on completion of this course to either a certificate in Cosmetic Make-up of an NVQ unit of make-up. Candidates wishing to achieve either of these qualifications will need to build a portfolio of evidence containing written, practical assessments, assignments, workbooks & all other relevant underpinning knowledge and written paper to be submitted to awarding body examiner following initial training course.
* All candidates would be required to purchase a uniform to meet health and safety requirements & text book to help them with theory.
No previous experience is necessary to complete our Make-up course.
