Our facial treatments make use of the unique, natural and effective range of Susan Molyneux skin care products that contain natural ingredients, plant extracts, minerals and essential oils. All products are free from artificial colours, perfumes and lanolin and are pH balanced.

Express Facial

Deep cleanse and exfoliation, hot towel, facial massage, toner and moisturiser. Targets any areas of specific concerns, namely dehydrated areas, acne, premature aging, sun damaged areas or areas of sensitivity.

Prescription Facial

Prescription facials are customised to client's individual needs and conditions present. This revitalising treatment first includes a cleanse to remove make-up, skin analysis to identify skin conditions and product choice, second cleanse, followed by gentle exfoliation and skin warming to remove any congestion and improve skin texture. A relaxing massage to the face, neck and shoulders focusing on areas of concern, is followed with a mask to enhance the skin and treat any areas of concern. On completion the skin is toned and moisturised.

Aromatic Facial

A soothing and beneficial treatment that is suitable for all skin types. The preparations that are used contain the purest essential oils that have been carefully selected to help balance the skin and maintain its youthful appearance.

Active Collagen-bio facial

This intensive collagen treatment uses pure freeze dried collagen to improve the skin's ability to retain moisture and reduce the signs of ageing.
This treatment is suitable for clients with dry, sensitive and wrinkle prone skin.

Non-surgical Treatments

This advanced treatment helps to reduce the signs of ageing, producing an instant visible difference by using a low frequency, micro-current which gently re-educates and re-programmes the muscle fibres, tightening and lifting sagging muscles whilst reducing and smoothing the fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck, boosting the skin's own natural ability to generate collagen and plump up fine lines and wrinkles.

Galvanic Electrical Facials

This is a specialised treatment which introduces negatively charged ionised water soluble products via a galvanic current into the deep layers of the skin tissues to treat a range of skin types and conditions.

The treatment includes:

• Manual cleanse, skin analysis and exfoliation
• Application of galvanic current and a desincrustation gel to deep cleanse the skin tissues, removing dead skin cells and revealing a fresh new layer of skin

Waxing Treatments

This is a temporary method of hair removal that can be particularly effective for between 4 and 6 weeks, using organic honey wax which leaves the skin soft, smooth to the touch and hair free.

Warm wax is available for treating sensitive skins. It works at a low temperature and can be used on any area of the body.

Hot wax is suitable for under arm and bikini line waxing where hair growth may be coarse in texture. It opens the pores and allows a more comfortable removal of hair growth for clients.

Basic bikini wax

This treatment includes the removal of all hair escaping outside the pant line. This treatment creates a clean neat look and is ideal for someone experiencing their first time bikini wax.

Full bikini wax

This treatment creates a triangle area giving a deeper bikini-line by removing hair growth from both sides and top of the pant line.

Brazilian (warm or hot wax treatment)

This treatment includes the removal of hair from the pubic area leaving a strip of hair approximately 1 inch wide up and over the pubic mound.

Pre-Brazilian waxing information for clients

• Prior to booking your appointment, please allow hairs to grow long enough to allow wax to adhere to them, if hair growth is too long the therapist will trim hair to correct length prior to waxing process. (If hairs too short treatment will not be successful).
• Do not book your appointment at the time of your period; you are more sensitive at this time.
• The day of your waxing treatment shower with warm water and exfoliate bikini area to encourage any in-growing hairs to the skin surface.

Post treatment advice following bikini waxing

• Do not wear tight clothing for 24-48 hours, this can cause irritation and pimples
• Do not have any heat treatments, sun beds, saunas for 48 hours, this can cause skin irritation and sensitivity

• Avoid using perfumed products for 48 hours, e.g. moisturiser, or cosmetic tanning this can cause irritation and infection

Electrolysis

What is Electrolysis? Invented in 1875, Electrolysis is the longest established method of permanent hair removal. Electrolysis is a course of treatment and not a miracle cure. It ultimately leads to permanent removal of unwanted hair growth. The success of the treatment depends on the client's co-operation with a highly skilled therapist to commit to regular treatments until treatment is no longer necessary. Electrolysis is not restricted by hair and skin colours but can be adapted for each client's individual need.

How does Electrolysis work? It works by passing a tiny pre-packed sterilised needle into the opening of the hair follicle, then discharging a small amount of high frequency energy into the hair follicle, where it creates friction within the tissues. This generates a mild thermal heat which then destroys the matrix cells that produce the hair at the base of the follicle, through either cauterisation or coagulation, thus destroying or weakening hair growth depending on the stage of the hair cycle.

A full consultation is carried out with every client to establish their suitability to treatment and any medical restrictions prior to any treatment being carried out. Following treatment, post-treatment care and advice is given to maintain hygiene and prevent any adverse reactions resulting.

Electrolysis can be used almost anywhere on the body and is suitable for both men and women over the age of 16. Under 16s require G.P. permission.

Artificial nail treatment

If you need something more than a manicure, artificial nail enhancements can be used to add length and shape to your own nails. Alternatively, if extra length is not required, natural overlay treatments will improve the appearance and condition of the nails. Both acrylic and gel systems can be used to suit your preference.

Corrective treatment is available for those whose nails need that extra bit of help. Also available is a wide range of hand crafted nail art designs to make your nails unique for that special occasion.

We offer a series of eye treatments for beautiful eyes, including eyelash and eyebrow tinting, perming and shaping.

Eyelash and Eyebrow Tinting

The benefits of these treatments last for approximately six weeks and include:

• Colour definition to the eye lashes and brows for clients with fair or red hair colouring
• Creates a natural look whilst emphasising eyebrows which frame the face

Red Vein Therapy

This treatment uses diathermy to produce thermo-coagulation which successfully reduces the appearance of unsightly telangectasia; otherwise called broken capillaries, red thread veins or spider naevi.

Causes This condition can occur at any time of life, due to either exposure to heat, sunlight, hormonal changes, physical trauma and medication or may be related to life-style. It creates a cosmetic problem as the capillaries dilate very close to the skin surface.

*This treatment is not suitable for anyone who is on blood thinning medication or has a blood disorder.

Rosacea

This condition produces a reddening to the face that resembles blushing. This reddening effect is due to increased blood flow through the fine capillaries, which expand or dilate to allow an increased volume of blood to flow through. Initially the skin colour returns to normal; however, with time the dilation of the capillaries becomes permanent, with multiple telangectasia or fine red capillaries visible at all times. Other symptoms include facial swelling, lumpy red pimples, papule or nodules, facial burning or itching.

Treatment Telangectasia or red capillaries can be treated using diathermy to produce thermo-coagulation which cauterises the blood vessels improving the appearance of the skin by reducing the red appearance.

Regular electrical facial treatments can improve the general texture and appearance of the skin, reducing swelling by improving lymphatic circulation and removal of toxins, deep cleansing of skin and improve blemishes etc.
