Angela Wheat

Angela is a highly experienced beauty and complementary therapist who has worked in the beauty industry for the last 31 years. Her extensive depth and breadth of knowledge and experience has enabled her to undertake a variety of roles within the beauty industry which include: working as a therapist, salon manager, teacher, author, assessor and examiner both in private and public sectors. Until recently Angela ran a large beauty and complementary therapies department comprising of 5 salons and 20 staff in an F.E. College, where she developed the department’s reputation for offering high quality training and helped to establish its position as one of the top Colleges in the South East of England.

Angela now uses her extensive experience and knowledge of the industry to run her own business offering high quality service and a broad range of both beauty and complementary therapies treatments.

Angela states “I am in the fortunate position of having experienced many areas of good practice both in F.E. training Colleges and salons, on which to base my business practice. Gemini Beauty aims to make each client feel that they have had their treatment expectations exceeded and that clients will wish to return to spend time with us, having either repeat or new treatments time after time. Service in this country is generally poor compared to abroad and we aim to offer premium quality and service at a reasonable price using high quality products”.

Angela is a member of the International Federation of Health and Beauty Therapists and the British Institute Association of Electrolysis.

Sarah

Sarah is a highly experienced nail technician and trainer, qualified in all aspects of nail technology. Sarah has four years experience in the industry, and uses all the available nail systems (Acrylic, Gel and Fibreglass), to design beautiful artificial nails, that are unique to each client’s specific needs. Similar enhancement treatments can also be carried out on your toes to give you a perfectly manicured look from top to toe. No matter what the occasion, from a simple file, buff and polish, to a set of uniquely designed luxury nail extensions; Sarah can give your nails the makeover they deserve.

Sarah trained under Denise Wright, who has won the award for British Nail Technician of the year 13 times over, and who is now a leading nail educator for Nail Systems International (NSI), and a City and Guilds assessor, who co-ordinates National Nail competitions yearly to ensure that the industry standards continue to remain as high as possible.

Sarah is City & Guilds qualified to NVQ level 3.

There is easy access from the M20, A20 and A228. When booking appointments directions will be given to Gemini Beauty.

Appointments may be available outside of these times subject to arrangement and we reserve the right to vary opening times.

Salon Etiquette

1. As a courtesy to other clients, please arrive on time. Please note that being late compromises your treatment time.
2. To maintain a tranquil atmosphere during treatments we request that mobile phones are switched off.
3. Our Cancellation Policy: clients are kindly asked to give 24 hours notice for cancellation or the full appointment fee will be charged.
4. A free and confidential consultation will be carried out prior to any treatments being given; to discuss individual treatment requirements and any health conditions that may contra-indicate or restrict treatment availability. Your therapist will advise you appropriately during the consultation period.
5. On completion of you treatment you will be given post-treatment advice to enhance the benefits of the treatment received.
6. For health and safety reasons we prefer children not to be brought into the salon.

Contra-Indications

Contra-indications to electrical face and body treatments include:

• Skin diseases/disorders, hyper-sensitive skin
• Bruising, swelling, acute inflammation
• Avoid any areas with warts, cuts or abrasions
• Recent operations in the concerned areas
• Recent fractures of the concerned areas
• Epilepsy (if not on medication)
• Recent scar tissue
• Tumours or unrecognised lumps
• Neuritis/neuralgia
• Haemophilia
• Any viral infection e.g. flu, lymphatic disorder, eye infections e.g. conjunctivitis, cold sores
• Pacemakers, metal plates/pins in the immediate area for treatment
• Severe asthmatic conditions
• Pregnancy
