Duration: 3.5 Days
Time: 10am to 4pm
Tuition cost: £760 inclusive of registration & certification fees

Day 1: Introduction to course work health and safety, setting up work area, contra-indications, consultation and practical skills.

Day 2: Review of skills development through practical observation, action planning and theory.

Day 3: Review of skills development through practical assessment, action planning and theory.

On completion of self study work books & case studies etc. students will return for a half day of practical and written assessments/exams and submission of portfolio with work book and case studies.

Day 4 - Summative/final practical and written exams/assessments
* Candidates are required to bring own models for assessments.

• Health, hygiene, safety & legislation (VR02 & VR74)
• Preparation of therapist, tools, work area and client
• Equipment, products and safe working methods
• Anatomy & physiology: skin, skeletal, muscular, blood and lymphatic systems
• Consultation & treatment planning
• Contra-indications and contra-actions
• Massage medium
• Theory of massage techniques
• Practical massage tuition
• Practical application of massage techniques
• Post treatment advice
• Case studies/log of practical treatments
• Written and practical examinations
• Compile a portfolio of evidence, workbooks are completed as self study at home to reinforce learning

If an additional assessment day required a fee of £50 for 3 hours or £70 for 4 hours will be applicable
* All candidates would be required to purchase a uniform to meet health and safety requirements & text book to help them with theory.
* Option of completing a diploma in anatomy and physiology available at an additional cost of £250 for course registration and work books.
