Time: 10am to 4pm
Tuition cost: £710 inclusive of registration & certification fees
*Additional costs: Include text book and essential oil kit (tutor will recommend kit supplier)
Entry requirements: Body massage and/or anatomy and physiology qualification

Day 1: Introduction to course work health and safety, setting up work area, contra-indications, consultation, history of essential oils, types of plants, blending and practical skills.

Days 2-4: Review of skills development through practical assessment, action planning and theory knowledge.

On completion of self study work books & case studies etc. students will return for practical and written assessments/exams and submission of portfolio with work book and case studies.

Day 5: Summative/final practical and written exams/assessments
* Candidates are required to bring own models for assessments.

• Preparation of therapist, tools, work area and client
• Equipment, products and safe working methods
• Anatomy & physiology
• Consultation & treatment planning
• Contra-indications and contra-actions
• Blending
• Carrier and essential oils
• Theory of massage techniques
• Practical aromatherapy massage tuition
• Practical application of massage techniques
• Post treatment advice
• 6 Case studies of 5 treatments/log of practical treatments
• Written and practical examinations
• Compile a portfolio of evidence, workbooks are completed as self study at home to reinforce learning

If an additional assessment day required a fee of £50 for 3 hours or £70 for 4 hours will be applicable

Candidates wishing to achieve this qualification will need to build a portfolio of evidence containing written, practical assessments, assignments, workbooks & all other relevant underpinning knowledge and written paper to be submitted to awarding body examiner following initial training course.

* All candidates would be required to purchase a uniform to meet health and safety requirements & text book to help them with theory along with an essential oil kit to meet National Standards requirements.
* Option of completing a diploma in anatomy and physiology available at an additional cost of £250 for course registration and work books.
